Tate Publishing Named One Of The Best Places To Work In Oklahoma

Tate Publishing & Enterprises has been named to the list of “Best Places to Work in Oklahoma, 2008”. The organization enlists responses from employees and this internal survey and analysis qualifies the finalists. An awards ceremony held on May 1st at the Cox Center in Oklahoma City announced the individual rankings for each company (1 to 15). Tate Publishing was honored to receive the prestigious #2 slot for Best Place to Work in Oklahoma. “Our company’s success is a direct reflection of the wonderful family of employees we are privileged to work with day in and day out,” stated Rita Tate, Executive Director for Human Resources and co-founder of the family-owned, Christian based traditional publisher. Past winners and finalists include Express Personnel, Chesapeake Energy, Nexstep, and Integris Health Center. The contest is sponsored and managed by The Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, Oklahoma State HR Council, and Oklahoma Alliance for Manufacturing Excellence.

With nearly 100 employees, Tate Publishing has staff in five different locations at present. A major goal for the seven year old company is to soon build a facility to house all departments at one site.

A new division for Tate Publishing is now well under way. Tate Music Group was launched in January and adds to the diversification the company is expecting in the years to come. “The music label is now established with a growing group of artists from every musical genre,” added Tate. “Our next venture will be an advertising entity that will create everything from logos to the production of commercials (for radio and television) and ad campaigns geared to marketing a company’s image or product. We are excited about these new avenues as we remain a forerunner in the publishing industry.”
